| Caroline was born and raised in Ancaster, Ontario. She completed her undergraduate studies at McMaster University obtaining her B.A. (Hons.) in history with a minor in psychology in 2006. During her time at McMaster, Caroline worked for a prominent plaintiff litigation firm in Hamilton where she gained valuable experience in the accounting aspects of carrying on a law practice. In addition to working, Caroline volunteered with a humanitarian program that brought students to build homes in the Dominican Republic. Following her graduation from McMaster, Caroline accepted a position in Geneva, Switzerland with a non-governmental organization. In this position, she had the opportunity to coordinate international fundraising projects as well as attend human rights council sessions at the United Nations.
Upon returning home from Geneva in 2007, Caroline was accepted into the law program at the University of Windsor. While studying at Windsor, she was involved in numerous groups including volunteering as the coordinator for the Pro Bono Students Family Law Project. She accepted a summer position with Shillingtons LLP after her second year at Windsor (2009) and was hired back as an articling student in 2010. After her call to the bar in 2011, Caroline accepted an associate position with Shillingtons LLP.
Caroline is a member of the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association and the Middlesex Law Association.
